Message from Organising Committee Convenor

On behalf of the organising committee I am delighted to invite you to participate in the 40^th annual scientific meeting of the Australasian Society for Immunology that will be held from 5^th - 9^th December 2010 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth, Western Australia. Building on the success of pervious annual meetings the Perth Annual Scientific Meeting will bring together international, national and local scientists to present cutting edge research in the field of immunology.

The 2010 meeting will be held in conjunction with the following satellite workshops, all held on the 5^th of December:

• Tumour Immunology Workshop
• Infection and Immunity Workshop
• Post-Graduate Workshop
• Mucosal Immunology Workshop

About the Australasian Society for Immunology

The ASI was created by the amalgamation in 1991 of the Australian Society for Immunology, formed in 1970, and the New Zealand Society for Immunology, formed in 1975.

It is a broadly-based Society, embracing clinical and experimental, cellular and molecular immunology in humans and animals. The Society provides a network for the exchange of information and for collaboration within Australia, New Zealand and overseas.

ASI members have been prominent in advancing biological and medical research world-wide. We seek to encourage the study of immunology in Australia and New Zealand and are active in introducing young scientists to the discipline.
